CHESTER FARM microschool
Program
We are a homeschool enrichment program/microschool for kids ages 6-13, with an emphasis on connecting with nature and each other. We also offer individualized instruction in math and language arts.
This program is an alternative to school and is a child-led program. Kids are encouraged to explore the forest and the farm and learn about farming, farm animals, gardening, etc.
Academic instruction will comprise about 40-60 minutes a day. Most of the day will be spent outdoors.
School days are Tues, Wed and Thurs 9-1.

Dr. Becky has 6 kids and homeschools some of them. Some choose to go to school. She believes that all kids have different needs and there is not a one size fits all solution to education.
She holds a BA in History, an MS in Education and a PhD in Education. Dr. Becky has taught college for 20 years, both face to face and online. She has taught at colleges and universities all over the country. She considers herself a lifelong learner. She recently earned a Nature Based Educator certification from ERAFANS and is also certified in Wilderness CPR and First Aid.
She started FarmRich in the midst of the pandemic as a place for kids to come and play outdoors, with each other. Dr. Becky Dr. Becky is the owner and founder of FarmRich and lead teacher. FarmRich is located in Chester, NH and is home to horses, pigs, chickens, ducks, bunnies, and goats!
believes that kids need self directed play, outdoors in nature, daily. When she was in the state house, she sponsored a bill to increase recess time in NH public schools.
In addition to classes, she also makes goats milk soap, lotions, bath bombs and the farm sells eggs!
Making soap is her favorite hobby. And coffee is what keeps her going so she can do all these things every day!

Dr. Jeremy is the bookkeeper and beekeeper of FarmRich. He is also an administrator at SNHU and long time college professor. Dr. Jeremy has a PhD in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder. He teaches Psychology and Statistics at colleges and universities around the US. Dr. Jeremy is a Selectman in our town of Chester and
